The 10th track in acoustic version of the album “A Bell Of Blessing” was uploaded today.
To be honest, this song was the one that less caught our attention on this album.
However, we enjoyed the performance of Kim Hyun Joong and Gemini on this song during the concert. The power of his voice, his new nuances that we were discovering, the special effects of the decor, everything was sublime, but we were not “hooked”.
We asked ourselves at the time: What is this? Green? Another “environmentalist” trip to be on the move?
Yes, it’s a stupid idea. But whose fault is it? To our ignorance of Korean language (easy to blame).
After translating the lyrics, we realized that this is the simplest message from guy to girl (or guy to guy, or girl to a girl as you like …)

Light words and a succinct message can say so much, right?
With this song, we are once again amazed by this worked voice, more powerful than usual, that we prefer to the “nasal” voice of his interpretations in English.
Sorry to say that, but when he sings in English, we have a hard time finding the Kim Hyun Joong from Four Seasons who introduced us to his voice (or the one from Rightabout who continues to amaze us)
We have the feeling that his interpretation in English is lacking a bit of soul, but we can work on that right? And Mr. Hyun Joong doesn’t seem to be afraid of work. He will have to really get started. Yes, to learn English more seriously, sir!
The first thing we get answered when we introduce Kim Hyun Joong to someone is:
“Too bad he doesn’t sing in English, he would be a big hit abroad!”
(in vain we tell them that he is already a big hit and ask to lend an ear because he sings in English, people only remember the chorus!)
There was even someone who answered us: “Does he understand what he sings in English?”
Of course you idiot since songs are composed by him!
(since then, this persons listen to “The Symphony” on repeat so we forgave them for their ignorance …)
It must also be said that we French people are not very good at foreign languages (we can see it, can’t we?)
In short, this acoustic version of Green Light, is one of our favorites of all the “unplugedd” versions.
However, the previous nine are very beautiful, but in our opinion did not simultaneously honor all the participants.
This video concentrates in itself all the ingredients of a successful music video. Kim Hyun Joong told us at one point that he was not going to do music videos anymore but it was probably a joke.
- It is rhythmic, dynamic and holds us back from the first thousandth of a second
- It shows us once again a beautiful location that makes us want to take a plane and go on a trip (this alley that takes us to the sea is amazing …)
- It reveals us once again professional work of the film crew.
- It confirms how much GEMINI’s musicians are gifted (and incidentally all very pleasent to see which does not spoil the visual)
- It makes us wonder about when, how and for how much time did they have to compose the arrangements, locate places, film, process and deliver these 10 masterpieces to us.
Next week it will be the turn of the 11th and last title: RIGHTABOUT !!!! and we wonder, given the words of this last song, if Kim Hyun Joong will leave us permanently or if he will continue to please us every Friday with others episodes of Music In Korea.

you are amazing when you play this instrument.
this band is truly amazing, all gifted musicians and i’m so happy that their working now with HJ as friends and colleague. hope they will continue to work together for a long time and create more beautiful music. like you, i also wonder how they choose a place to film and all the process that goes behind it, maybe they could show a behind the scene video,how i wish,well, a girl can dream right? LOL .

Gemini and KHJ are excellent and create such beautiful music together! Waiting for the unplugged version is well worth the wait! Hope the next one is not truly the last one.
When I first heard this song, I didn’t think of anything related to “environmentalists”. Instead, I think of the “green light” held by the fans, surrounding him at his live concert… That is the support and enthusiasm of the fans. Too bad we can only have online concerts now without any green lights.
I believe oppa has learnt English more seriously and keep improving. When I listen to the new version of “Unbreakable” in Music in Korea 2, I can clearly hear what he sings….”Turn the music up, Turn the music up… Turn up!” and honestly I can’t hear clearly what he sing in the old version. Just give him some more time, he’s working hard.
I did not really like this song from the CD but listening to it again here has changed my opinion. Like you, I believe the harmonica really adds a lot to the arrangement. Also I think KHJ’s voice better here. I’ll have to go back and listen to the original version.
Also my friends say same—He would be a huge hit if he sang in all English and they don’t understand how I I can love his all Korean songs when I don’t speak the language. I gave up explaining!! Four Seasons —-LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Thanks for the lyrics too. I’m watch his Gift Concert and looking for the English lyrics before he sings each song so I’ll know what he is saying. Would be so great if his team would show us the lyrics on the screen as he is singing.. I’ve asked several times.
