Almost three months have passed since we last published anything new on this site, primarily due to a lack of motivation and inspiration rather than time. Despite that, there are occasions when we still feel compelled to express our thoughts here.

Given the temporal dimension of the matter—three months is not enough to forget an obsession that has spanned nearly four years—we shall endeavor to do so in a moderate manner so as to avoid appearing sour or disheartened.

Outside, on a YouTube channel, a content has been posted that expressed a few disappointment with the necessity to share its offer with a greater number of “competitors,” a circumstance that inexorably limits the number of views on all channels; views are now divided between more channels.

We are well aware that as tastes and choices evolve, “creators” of channels and personal pages must work harder each week to generate fresh content and distinguish themselves from the competition.

With the introduction of so-called “short” videos, the situation has not improved.

Conversely, people favor clips that are under one minute in length, disregarding the effort of a creator who has dedicated time and financial resources to produce lengthy videos, regardless of their aesthetic merit.

🔹 Youtube subtitling

Additionally, the video describes the time-consuming and expensive process of translating the weekly videos that are uploaded into multiple languages
(... Tell me about it Sir!)

Our viewpoint, shared by individuals who have not had the opportunity to receive weekly subtitles in their native tongue, is that social media platforms’ extremely imprecise automatic translations are not the most effective solution
(we recently saw the limits of Instagram’s automatic translator during an “official comment” to the post of a fan who had to spend her day apologizing…).

Why not publish the timed English transcript online and allow enthusiastic fans to contribute by submitting a translated version in their native tongue for uploading, thereby enhancing the quality of the online videos?
Even if, we can only speculate about the new people who might be impacted by the variety of available versions.

Also please,  how can we explain to those  concerned  the need to do differently with video titles?

Actually, there are times when not a single word in the titles compels us to click on the videos and allow  us to comprehend what is all about.

Imagine someone new arriving there…

The aim may be to increase distribution in Korea; however, we rarely come across Korean commentaries on the content we talk about (even if we have some idea of why they’re absent).

.

🔹 The official fanclub website AND/OR Fromm ?

We were cognizant of the fact that December was rapidly approaching and that the question would inevitably transpire.

The time has come to request renewed official fan club memberships, and this year members are presented with a dilemma.

Apparently, so do the website managers…

We have recently obtained a message following a three-month period of radio silence, during which no information was released and even the artist’s diary was not updated in a timely manner.

It is inconsequential whether the message is spontaneous or well-considered; what matters is that it appears sincere and genuine, as per we like it, and posted on the official fan club website the only  platform where such messages must be.

.

Nonetheless, what do we do now?

After a subscription and commitment to FROMM for an arbitrary period of time, what should we do next year?

.

Should we proceed with the renewal of our subscription to the official fanclub, given its current state akin to a haunted house adorned with padlocked windows?

Which one, despite its current lack of activity,  is his own and  allows to cash in on a subscription once a year?
(😈 yes, because an artist isn’t a charity; we just have to be aware of that, even if it takes us a while to understand it…)

or

Should we opt for a subscription to a trendy third-party application, which is paid for by all parties involved, including the artist, which will only count at best with a thousand members (🤔0.0001% of fans)?

(😈 for the enjoyment of a few individuals which will enable to maintain an illusional sense of near companionship, whereas others, resembling stalkers rather than admirers, will enjoy deliberating amongsts on the exterior, sharing the exact same message they all had simultaneously –since they are unable to even exchange a hello within this renowned discovery).

Where are you now ?
“I’m taking a shower”
OMG!!! Did you have the message? He said he was taking a shower… 😱
What are you doing now?
“I’m getting out of the shower”
OMG!!! He said he just got out of the shower. 🤒

.

One further suggestion warrants consideration as an additional pathway…

We’ve come across likes and comments from Kim Hyun Joong on pages belonging to fans… fans of other artists, very rarely, if ever, on comments left by his own fans on his own accounts.

Why not occasionally interact with one’s own fans directly on Instagram or YouTube?

Other artists routinely engage in this practice
(instead of giving way to fakes who harass subscribers)

Maybe this method of communication could bring visitors back to contents more often?

.

Just two more final remarks, and then we can get back to where we belong.

We don’t know about you, but we came to  Kim Hyun Joong to find a Singer.

We then learned that he is capable of a lot more than singing.

We managed to no longer be astonish or annoyed with individuals who perpetually evoke sentiments of nostalgia regarding an obsolete boys band that will never reform,  or episodes of a television series from two decade ago.

Because always looking for ways to please,  he himself, lately seems to enjoy teleporting back in time of his own free will…

But, before they go look elsewhere, might we also consider those who love the Kim Hyun Joong of the present ?  Those who don’t want to be constantly dragged back to memories of a past that isn’t their own?

How can we provide an introduction to the recent work of singer Kim Hyun Joong to someone who’d like to get to know him?

Offer  a “physical” album?
Impossible!
We’re told it will take 6 weeks to get it.

Give a link to the Official Youtube channel?

Prevent yourself from doing so!
This is not a easy way to “place” the Singer.
Old and new albums, are conspicuously hidden from his channel!

Someone please can put his  M-U-S-I-C  in the spotlight, dammit!

Criticism, according late Mr Lamartine, is the strength of the powerless.

However, simply because we are quick to critique and judge the methods of others does not mean we do not value the efforts that are being put forth.

It’s just that we’d like the results to be more visible, and it is also about being receptive to the perspectives of others and possibly generating new ideas, because when you’ve got your “head in the game” you don’t necessarily stand back and analyze things.

To finish, and because we think that abscesses should be killed as soon as they occur, we want to send a little message and hope it doesn’t look like a dirty linen wash online.

Why do some focus groups invariably end up dealing with the lives of absentees rather than the topics that brought them closer together?

For those who would be concerned (sorry for others):

We may be in the midst of reflection about the fate of this website (prosecution, transformation or stop) but there’s something we don’t need to think about…

We don’t intend to give it to anyone!

For the simple and only reason we have :   this site is priceless for us.

Once one know that, and in order to stop make plans on the comet, could each one focus on the original plan?

Spend our energy trying to make an artist known, each of us in our own way and with our own means.

If we want to give ourselves every chance of seeing him one day in concert here.

Have a nice week.
