We don’t know about you, but at the end of a long winter we often tend to feel a little…down? tense?

We’re exasperated by little things, and like Mother Nature, we can’t wait for Spring to shake us out of our lethargy.

All right, we don’t need a whole winter here to feel irritated…
But this morning, we swear we were really looking forward to a nice weekend.

Until a beautiful teaser for the upcoming symphony concert “INTO THE LIGHT” came our way.
Until we tried to read the description of the teaser in question.

We’re not asking for translations into French or a bunch of other languages to please everyone, just a description in a universal language like English. Is it that hard to understand?

This is the second teaser for the March 15 & 16 concert in Japan, and we’re well aware that we don’t necessarily need “foreign” spectators to attend, as the box office is probably already on the way to being sold out, or so we’d like to think.

Shouldn’t the purpose of a social network, and in this case a Youtube channel, be for an artist to make his WORK and MUSIC known to as many people as possible?

How do you introduce composer-singer-producer Kim Hyun Joong to new people who might be interested in his work?

What does the persons you’re trying to point in the direction of this channel do when they get there and open it?

They discover pages with thumbs that are certainly amusing, of a daily life that is certainly endearing, but that don’t necessarily reflect the image of a artist/musicien that we want to introduce to someone.

The question may seem ridiculous, and making a big deal out of something so small may seem out of place, but all important things are made up of small details that count.

Is it a deliberate choice? a lack of attention? or don’t one have 10 US dollars to invest in the translation of 700 words?

Maybe we’re wrong, but we don’t think that an artist, to do the job he does, lacks ambition and is content to stay on familiar ground; his ambition is certainly not to go round in circles making the tour of his SUBSCRIBERS or existing fans.

.

On reflection, we’re not irritated…we’re just sad.

Saddened by the efforts to take one step forward when, in fact, most of the time you take two steps backwards.

Have a good weekend.
Looking forward to Spring!
