He had been waiting for this concert for almost three years, he got it and we saw him happy.
A concert at his home in the presence of his audience, to which were added a few diehard supporters who had arrived from abroad, safely vaccinated, and who were brave enough to overcome the last restrictions and barriers of mandatory antigenic and PCR tests.
It’s true that since Prism Time online last year, there was last February’s ‘Things I want to say’ face-to-face concert, but we can’t imagine Kim Hyun Joong having enjoyed it so much in February than yesterday because in February he seemed so stressed trying to find the right time to announce his wedding that he surely hold his breath the whole concert and only release it once he got home to say “Wow! I dodged; I managed to get home safe and sound”
It’s been 9 Kim Hyun Joong concerts we’ve been attending online and for the very first time, yesterday we encountered serious transmission malfunctions at the MMT site and apparently we weren’t the only ones.
We first wondered if we were going to be able to leave messages on the chat because ten minutes after the start of the concert it was still not possible ” to show our love to the artist ” as MMT so kindly invited us to do.
This function was usually available at least half an hour before the other concerts and everyone could say hello.
Significant malfunctions have also been observed with connections via tablets/Ipad.
It was impossible to keep a connection longer than 30 seconds. Users had to re-login over and over again to continue watching the concert, and we sympathize with people who left annoyed comments in the chat.
Our connection plan B with another ticket from a PC connected to a high-speed cable fiber network also suffered from three interruptions, which is abnormal compared to usual, which may prove that the malfunction did not necessarily come from the internet connections of each one but from the transmission.
We hope that there will be fewer anomalies during the next concert in July and put those of yesterday on the account of the exooooooorbitant number of people who were connected at the same time.😄
For those who weren’t able to attend the concert, but who certainly didn’t miss seeing the many images and videos that are already lining the web, a quick word on what this concert inspired us.

We liked the top, even if from the first images we wondered if he was not going to spend the whole concert pulling on the tails of his shirt so much there was something that seemed to scratch him on the inside😂

As for Kim Hyun Joong, we found him a little tired.
He was perfectly assured on the vocal side, but his face reflected the fatigue of someone who had to prepare hard for this concert, of someone who is not the type to just do one thing at a time, and who surely also worked on the release of his new album scheduled for August, participated in a few shows with his friends, composed a little film music along the way and did a lot of other things that we even don’t want to know but we understand very well…😏
During yesterday’s concert there were various other feelings that sneaked up and we can’t help it.
A little pinch of regret or nostalgia, because we no longer had Kim Hyun Joong all to ourselves.
He must have divided himself between the room and the monitor, whereas he had accustomed us to looking at each other and talking to each other straight in the eye for two years.
A slight sense of astonishment too and a strange feeling when Kim Hyun Joong (or the translator?) announces “Kim Hyun Joong & Julia Dream” more than once instead of the usual “Kim Hyun Joong & Gemini”.
A Gemini band that was excellent as always but for some reason didn’t seem as cheerful and complicit as in previous concerts, but maybe they are as tired as their boss…
If we had to retain three highlights of this concert, we would retain:
The charming moment of this young couple who promises marriage in front of the whole world and the funny exchange of Kim Hyun Joong who sings to them in an unplanned way (and for the second time of the evening) yet another version of ” Smile in Wine”

The long-awaited moment when he tell us that now that he feels more comfortable with his media image, he will participate in upcoming projects about which he is not yet allowed to speak but which make us hope that we should soon see him on the small screen.

The most touching moment of all, the one imbued with restraint and discretion but totally assumed, where he dedicates to his other half – “To the one I love…” 🤗 – the song ‘Rightabout’ in a version full of new nuances ,
… and even if a song that we consider a farewell song does not seem to us to be the most suitable for declaring our love for the woman we love, the fact of having known how to dedicate it publicly to her without fear and without complexes is proof that everything is fine, right?

It looks like someone finally taught this man to accept his romantic side.
