OPEN LETTER TO TWO CONCERNED FANS

As we don’t live under a dictatorship and we’re still allowed to express our opinions freely (although often we’d do better to think long and hard before we speak…), we’ve decided to take five minutes not to justify ourselves, but to clarify a few things and respond to two ladies who’ve contacted us about a video on our YouTube channel.

Ladies, assuming you’re not bilingual in Korean – haven’t you ever, as Kim Hyun Joong  “fans”, wanted to understand what he is saying to you? We bet you have!

Our aim isn’t to “STEAL” or earn money from Kim Hyun Joong’s work. All we’re trying to do is to promote the artist and help as many people as possible find out about him, and we spend a lot of our time (and money) doing just that – because when you love something, money doesn’t matter.

So long as Kim Hyun JoongJ don’t ask us personally to stop, we’ll keep doing things the way we want to, and we’re sorry to have to tell you that that will be exactly the same way as we have up to now.

Why would you get upset about our video (which you’ll find isn’t the same as the official one for “WHY” if you check), when we can see you’re subscribed to other channels that do exactly the same thing, namely promoting artists?

Don’t you feel a bit like a thief for having subscribed to a channel which has PIRATED all Kim Hyun Joong’s albums?

We would have liked to have given you this message in person, but it’s unfortunately a bit tricky for us to travel to Peru at the moment, which is a real shame as it’s a country we love and where the people are generally pretty tolerant.

From what we’ve seen, you seem to care about young people and education, and isn’t TOLERANCE one of the key things we’ve all got to learn and teach to others?

We’re not forcing anyone to go on our social media. We think criticism is a good thing, which is why we don’t censor any comments – but we can’t accept pointless polemics about silly things.

Kim Hyun Joong’s messages are about LOVE, so let’s not waste our energy giving in to HATE. There are plenty of other fights we need to focus on right now.

“THIS IS LOVE”

Reminder  : this is our message when the video in question was uploaded

We would like to reassure some souls who seem a little worried about our use of Kim Hyun Joong’s works.
In France there is an organization called SACEM (Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music). This organism collects royalties from musical works and pays them back to artists.
Although our site does not sell any music and is only intended to promote the work of Kim Hyun Joong, the various titles in the background of our various pages are subject to a declaration and payment of a diffusion royalty.
With regard to works broadcast by Youtube, their management company  is directly responsible for making the necessary declarations to SACEM.
