South Korea has been very present in Paris lately and it is our pleasure to tell you about it from time to time.

Today to announce you an upcoming literary meeting with the queen of the South Korean thriller,
the writer Seo Mi-ae.

Seo Mi-ae is also a screenwriter for film and television.

The meeting will take place next Monday, November 15 and is organized at the initiative of Editions Matin Calme and the Korean Cultural Center.

It will include reading extracts from Seo Mi-ae’s books and will be presented by Pierre Bisiou, editorial director of Editions Matin Calme.

Meeting with writer Seo Mi-ae

Since the publication of his bestseller ” The thirty best ways to murder her husband ” Seo Mi-ae has become the star of the thriller in Korea.

.

In 2018, she got down to writing a complex psychological thriller deployed throughout a trilogy.

.

At the heart of this project, the figure of Ha-yeong, a disturbed and murderous young girl (who embodies the upheavals experienced by Korean society) that we discover as a child in the first volume and whose main stages of life we ​​follow through different criminal cases.

The first volume of the “Bonne nuit maman” trilogy was published in France by Matin Calme editions in March 2020; the second volume ” Every secret as a name” has just arrived in bookstores in Korea and France.

.

” Good night mom ” was a great success and has already been translated in more than a dozen countries.
