While waiting for Mr. Hyun Joong if he decides to visit us, lets go in a Korean culture immersion program.
From september 22th to 4th december, various events dedicated to the past, present and future of Korean culture will take place in Paris and in several cities in France.
These various events aim to bring Korean culture to a wider audience.
The mix of tradition and innovation and various presentations are on the agenda:
– Exhibition “Hangeul: the Korean alphabet meets design” at the Korean Cultural Center in Paris,
” its historical context, the scientific characteristics and its aesthetic potential” through the works of numerous artists (notably Maison Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld)
– Events around the pansori (traditional Korean song listed as a UNESCO heritage) from 28/09 to 15/10 in collaboration with K-Vox festival .
– Exhibitions of digital video-mapping works, conferences, workshops, screenings of Korean ‘dramas’, guided tours etc …
On November 5 and 6 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., French audiences will also have the chance to see renowned Korean artists such as avant-garde choreographer Eun Me Ahn (“Garden of Body” show), works by Tacit Group ( jazz concerts mixing modern instruments and traditional)
To kick off the opening of these events, the French public had the pleasure of attending a performance by DJ Didi Han (Korean artist who has just signed with a French label)
Various other events such as: exhibitions, a Korean film festival, K-Pop festival … representative of Korea and its culture will take place in particular in Toulouse, Montpellier, La Rochelle and in other French cities.
