We wanted to avoid commenting on ‘despacito’ madness but given the number of emails received, we can only remind once again that we are not an official Kim Hyun Joong website and that we are here just like the others existing pages, supporting the artist.

Sorry, but we do not have the legitimacy or material time to answer to each message received by email, and we also apologize for the comments that we have not validated in order to avoid unnecessary controversy.

We will try to provide a general and as neutral answer as possible on this subject, without bothering everyone with technical explanations.

– Viewing YouTube views –

What is valid today will be obsolete tomorrow because YOUTUBE and its algorithms are constantly evolving, but our little experience over the past year has taught us that:

1- a view begins to be counted after 30 seconds of a video ‘viewing (after pressing the PLAY button)
The views are counted according to the number of people who watch the videos at least 30 seconds
The user can perform’ jumps’ inside a video, his view will be counted even if he only watched it for 31 seconds .

.

2- user’s cookies  and IP address allow Youtube to count the user’s view only once in order to avoid ‘artificial growth’ of counters.

.

3-When a video reaches 300 views, which is quickly the case with KHJ videos, new algorithms are put in place to check if the video complies with YouTube requirements and if the views are legitimate or not.

.

4-If the same number of views is blocked for hours it means that no one has watched the video or in the case of KHJ videos it means that Youtube algorithms check and separate the real views from the fake ones.
After their passage
the views can therefore increase or decrease and YouTube can even erase low quality views.

.

5- The views are adjusted within 24 hours if YouTube finds user:
-using the same IP address on several devices at the same time.
-opens several different windows to watch the same video
-refreshes the page after only watching 30 seconds

So, unless you clear the cookies between each video you watch, there’s a good chance your view won’t count more than once if your cookies are still present and your IP address always stays the same, or if you do not change device.

The repetition of the playback of the same video counts for a given number of views and this for a certain number of times defined by YouTube.  When this threshold, which is a confidential Youtube data, is exceeded, your view will be considered a duplicate and deleted, and if YouTube has spotted you, you will be able to spend your life streaming the video in question that your effort will never be transformed into views.

Apart from the pleasure of listening to Kim Hyun Joong on repeat, there is therefore no point in watching the same video over and over again if the objective is to increase the number of views and if there is not at the same time, cookies’ deletion or even IP address’ change.
( the 30 minutes that someone thinks advisable to wait is totally ineffective otherwise)

Plus, YouTube doesn’t take your view into account when you switch from one video to another randomly (although you carefully watch each video for 30 seconds). Indeed, with such an action, the algorithms consider that the ‘spectator’ is a robot.

In addition, the view is not taken into account:

  • when you leave spam-type comments on videos;
  • or when the videos are integrated into a page and started automatically when someone arrives on that page
(for example links in Facebook or WordPress accounts when the video is automatically triggered there).
To have any chance that the views count you have to watch them on their original channel.

YouTube’s algorithms stop counting views at the video level when they see users attempting to spoof / increase the number of views in a fraudulent or forcible manner.

YouTube’s algorithms are robotically-engineered but human-made, and it shouldn’t be believed that YouTube engineers are less intelligent than a few hundred people trying to come up with tricks to get around their jobs.

Behind robots there are humans and they can read like everyone else. Announcing loud and clear on a channel, 25,000 times, that you are calling for forced streaming is not very smart.

Also, the method of buying likes for personal comments  or simply buying comments (yes that exists and it looks as big as a house), or trying to force visitors to scroll through certain comments in the hope of being placed in the first place, is just as suspicious, if not more so, than a poor little heart ♥ ️ not repeated emoji, for which some people are systematically called to order.
