Just an element of reflection for a topical question on this day and also unfortunately, in the next…
Why are we fighting for?
Who do we die for?
…and a song by Kim Hyun Joong with predestined lyrics and totally in line with current times.
WHAT ARE WE FIGHTING FOR?What are we fighting for?
Who are you dying for
So you gonna pull the trigger ?
Just shoot just shoot
Shoot me my friend
Total darkness, locks me in,
Squeeze my neck
What are we fighting for?
Who are you dying for?
So you gonna pull the trigger?
Come on shoot Come on shoot
Shoot me my friend
We know that wars were first
created by irons, woods and guns
And those guns have penetrated the hearts of millions
and brought tears to billions
and more
The machinery pushed us to self-destruction
but it was no one but ourselves
who decided to walk this path.
Humanity is wearing itself out finding reasons to fight
some still believe that human nature
always seeks destruction
Together we can break this belief
because it’s not true
We are more than reasonable
and we are more than ready to defend ourselves
What are we fighting for?
Who are you dying for?
So you gonna pull the trigger?
Just shoot just shoot
Shut me my friend
