As we all know, South Korea is one of the 10 largest ‘world powers’ and is one of the most advanced countries in the world in terms of economy, consumption patterns and technology.
We are not specialists in macroeconomics, but the few people we have met who have visited Seoul all have the same opinion, Seoul is an effervescent megalopolis looking to the future.

This first feeling gives way after a while, for those who stay in South Korea for a longer period of time, to other realities less perceptible at first glance, such as the importance of morality, loyalty, filial piety, benevolence and values that we have somewhat lost here such as the cult of the ancestor, the vital importance given to the education of children and above all the weight of traditions .

It would seem that there is a gap between the obvious modernity and the tradition of which we will not be fully aware by making a visit of a few days, and especially, if we do not really rub shoulders with Koreans on a day-to-day basis and if we stay only  “among tourists”.

Why are we bothering you with this speech?

Because we try to understand ways and customs that are different from our own and we don’t necessarily always succeed.

Because we are interested in this country and not having been able to visit it (yet), we are not really in a position to have our own judgment on certain practices that we only know from the press.

Because we have decided to participate in a “birthday” project of  ELITE HENECIA INTERNATIONAL group, which wishes to provide occasional support, on behalf of Kim Hyun Joong, to an animal cause in South Korea, and that we would like to see many of us to participate in this nice initiative.

Wondering if there aren’t enough animals to support closer to home? You are right.

But, here we succeeded in voting and having a law registered in the Civil Code which recognizes the animal as ” a living being endowed with sensitivity ” which must not ” be considered as a movable good ” (10 years of reflection and debate to arrive at these conclusions ….)

For all these reasons, and beware, we are not saying that South Koreans mistreat their animals, we felt that the dogs here are less unhappy than some who are there and who also suffer the ‘ weight of traditions’ (let’s put it that way to be very nice)

If you wish to participate in this project and make a donation, even a very small one, with your means, do not hesitate to contact and request more information on this subject from Elite Henecia International,  by email: eliteheneciaint@gmail.com
