This week Korean researchers managed to capture images of the solar eclipse that took place in the United States.

Why are they so proud to make this announcement to us?

Here’s a photo of a total eclipse with a diamond ring effect that appears when the moon covers the sun, taken in Malvern, Arkansas, by researchers at the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI), at 1:53 p.m. Monday (local time). Courtesy of KASI

We saw a korean diamond appear from behind the moon a year ago already, and our eclipse was global!

Besides, we don’t want to be gossipy, but our eclipse was much brighter.

Frankly, these journalists are always one step behind!
