This week the album MY SUN celebrated its second anniversary.
On 27.02.2023, the last 4 songs of an album that was disclosed in three parts were presented to the press and the whole world; three times four songs at regular intervals.
The first four songs were broadcast on 22.08.2022 so we may even say that Kim Hyun Joong’s 3rd and last album has already been in “public” existence for two and a half years.
Kim Hyun Joong has not remained inactive all this time, far from it, but it is indeed time to release a new album that we were promised soon and that we are looking forward to.
MY SUN being an album on very personal subjects, Kim Hyun Joong said in an interview when he came out, that he would move on to other less intimate themes.
Intimacy is a very relative notion when it comes to writing and composing on one’s thoughts and feelings and we know in advance that we will necessarily find a little intimacy in the next album.
When you like to feel emotionally close to your fans like Kim Hyun Joong, you tell yourself that he can only continue to compose songs that will connect him more or less intimately and by the heart to his audience.
I thought Love Universe was his last album?
The nice thing here is that there’s at least one person who follows what we write, and that’s a pleasure.
Berta, you’re right to say that Kim Hyun Joon has released another album in the meantime, but most of the songs are not “new” and have already been in circulation for some time (Hanamichi , Song for a dreamer, Super Fire).
The new Love Again, Love Universe and Saranghae are the fruit of his collaboration with Japanese artists.
We should have added that since MY SUN Kim Hyun Joong hasn’t released another COREAN album, thanks for the reminder. 💜
