After almost two years of absence, live concerts are slowly coming back, but artists are thinking twice before deciding to schedule world tours that might be cancelled due to new restrictions or different health measures adopted by each country.

Kim Hyun Joong has remained very active over the last two years and thanks to the internet has been able to continue to spread his work.
Bio-Rhythm Symphony, Concert “A Bell Of Blessing” which allowed him to launch his latest album, Music in Korea 1 and 2, Concert Prism Time for seven months.

It is fair to say that being able to communicate through this way has been a blessing, it has allowed him to stay close to his fans and has given others the opportunity to get to know him.

It is not his presence on Youtube that will help his company to pay his teams, his musicians, the subcontracting companies that make the beautiful images he offers us, or the producers of the magnificent concerts we attend online, but this platform grants some remuneration according to the number of views, the data base of the subscribers of his channel and the advertising revenue that could be generated, and even if their remuneration is minimal it is always welcome.

Why are we telling you all this?

Because even if you think that your modest view of one of his videos on Youtube is just a grain of salt in the ocean, it contributes with the others to remunerate his efforts, and it may seem tedious to play the same songs over and over again even if you like them a lot, but who knows, by watching his videos, you may be contributing to the next Music in Korea III or to pay a tiny part of the fee of one of the guest artists at the next Festival.

Nevertheless,  we are not Youtube experts, but there are things we have learned over the past two years, and notably that there is no point in listening to songs over and over again to try to increase the view counter, because Youtube’s requirements are becoming more and more sophisticated and if the same IP address keeps coming back over and over to the same video with the same comments, these attempts at artificial growth are very quickly spotted.

You will be considered as spam, your view will not count, or will be counted and deleted within 24 hours once the famous algorithms go through, and often you will end up seeing your comments disappear too.

We don’t know what the ideal solution is, all we’ve seen is that most of Kim Hyun Joong’s videos inexplicably stagnate, often between 300,000 and 400,000 views, while everyone  is holding “listening sessions”.

It seems to us that the more logical solution would be to delete the cookies history (since you can’t always ‘hide’ your IP address).
(Yes, we know that cookies are useful to find our favourite sites but we can do a test)

If you want to help out, we’ve decided to make some of the Music in Korea II videos reach a million views.

Not because we should call Kim Hyun Joong Mr. One Million from now on, but because that’s the number Youtube uses to take you seriously, to “refine” its payout calculations and to “suggest” videos to new users.

What do you think if we tried to get at least these five wonders to that number before Christmas?
