Indeed, we should never allow ourselves to be defeated by adversity! About the proverbs “A man who has not known adversity cannot be perfect.” I’m not sure which one is referred…then I guess it comes from Mr. 孟子 who said「故天將降大任於是人也，必先苦其心志，勞其筋骨，餓其體膚，空乏其身，行拂亂其所為，所以動心忍性，曾益其所不能。」it means when the God is about to give a great responsibility to someone, he first makes his mind endure suffering. To train up and improve his patience and abilities in facing adversity…before he could become a perfect man to take up the great responsibility.
I met a very horriable witch in my previous company. She kept using all kinds of ridiculous excuses to give me hard time everyday. 9 months later I left the company and found a much better job. I never hate her because I believe its God who sent her to train me and giving me signal to move forward and make me strong…..and eventually I won’t be cared of any witch or devil in the future.
