It seems that Korean press is starting to talk about this super-secret film, whose title has changed so many times that we no longer know exactly what its name is, and which everyone, including the main protagonist, has been warned not to talk about because ‘it wasn’t the right time’.
Yes, the calendar was not favourably available and stars were not correctly aligned.
This film, so well kept in a drawer (or a wardrobe… ah ah ah not even funny) for a year, was probably waiting for the end of a virus to get its promotion, but then fate decided otherwise, the little virus has settled down permanently.
A few ‘official selections‘ later, the film managed to win a few ‘badge’s that someone proudly put on its credits and that someone finally decided that it was time to discreetly release it on a video streaming platform (Korean of course…).
If you want to bury a film promotion that’s exactly what you have to do, congratulations.
Ah, we forgot, the lead actor won a best actor award at a festival in the United States, but that doesn’t matter much either and, schuutttt…. it’s still secret, he’s not allowed to talk about it either.
It’s a pity, but it doesn’t matter, because when he turns 60 he might finally be able to put an episode of Everyday Joong online where he will tell us about it nostalgically.
It will then be a youthful memory, and it will change us from his current remarks as an old man…

Omg!! It’s so frustrating. Why can he talk about it!? Where is the promotion !? God!! I’m so upset about that !! But I guess we need to wait!
I agree with you!
Cultural divide. Another proof that the East and the West do not understand the world in the same way…
Where a Westerner will tell you “I want everything, right now”, Asian wisdom will say “let’s stay zen and not worry about tomorrow…”.
Who is right? Who is wrong? Let’s keep waiting…
Even if I think that this isn’t the kind of film that you can put in “all hands” it’s still a shame to hang around so much …
Producers tried to promote it to international festivals but with Covid the expected effect did not take place and as you said they picked very beautiful pair of laurel wreaths to put on their promotional poster.
After all our Hyunjoong got a deserved award and that can’t be overlooked.
However, I would like to watch this film but apparently the next lucky ones will be Japanese audience since they appointed Japanese translators on the credits
yeah why the secrecy, a bit frustrating & i think they lost the momentum already.
yeah…….I am losing interest slowly because of this secret.
