Singer Hyunjoong Kim gave comfort to fans with an indigo performance of ‘Prism Time’.

Kim Hyun-joong held the sixth performance of the online concert ‘2021 KIM HYUN JOONG Monthly concert Prism Time’ at 7 pm on the 2nd. According to the organizers, the performance was attended by about 4,000 paid spectators.
‘Prism Time’ is a 7-month performance project that is broadcast live in real time to countries around the world, including Korea.
The main concept of this performance project is a rainbow of seven colors, maximizing each color each time. Red was passion and courage, orange was warm love, yellow was longing, green was healing, and blue was freedom.
Kim Hyun-joong, who appeared wearing a navy blue costume and a guitar to match the color of the performance, said, “A lot of people are joining us today. He is also greeting us in the chat window.” “Today’s performance is ‘Indigo’. It means ‘the abyss’. In line with the theme of ‘Abyss’, it feels like a deep sea, so I prepared a slightly moody and serious stage today.”
This day’s performance was performed with a string orchestra such as cello, viola, and violin, out of the band’s composition. Kim Hyun-joong digested a total of 14 songs for about 100 minutes, exuding a deep sensibility suitable for autumn. According to Kim Hyun-joong, the entire song was arranged lyrically for ‘Indigo’. Here, special effects such as snow, silver rain, and pollen enhance the sense of immersion on the stage.
The setlist is composed of songs loved by Music in Korea, a content that blends the views and music of Korea, which has recorded more than 10 million views on Kim Hyun-joong’s YouTube channel.
Kim Hyun-joong, who started the show with ‘Change of Mind’, ‘HAZE’ and ‘Your Story’, performed live with ‘Please be nice’, ‘After today’ and ‘I’m your man’.
In particular, he showed extraordinary affection for his first solo song ‘Please Be Good To Me’. He said, “The first music video I made as a solo song was ‘Please Be Good To Me’. It was originally a dance song. This time, I will present it to you as a band version. It’s been a while. Please listen to how sad it is to sing ‘Please take good care of me’.”
He continued, “‘Please take care of me’ is a song with a love message not to leave in the position of being broken, and ‘After Today’ is also a heartbreaking love story. At the end, it was a lovely ‘I am your man’ that would melt those sad feelings a little.” explained
In addition, Kim Hyun-joong sang ‘TAKE MY HAND’ and ‘THIS IS LOVE’ to the fans who comforted him during difficult times. He said, “The last two years of hard, lonely and painful times, even if not all of them can be healed, I hope this song will give you comfort. I think I always say this. I will call you in the sense that I hold your hand, your hearts full of despair and pain due to COVID-19.”
Following ‘U’ and ‘Four Seasons’, episodes about ‘Oasis’ were also delivered. He said, “I remembered these lyrics at a time when I was very helpless, lonely, and difficult. ‘Where can I really lean on? What if everything ends like this?’ When I was troubled, I received a certain message. It was a message saying, ‘No matter how hard and exhausted I am, I will not make you thirsty.’ I made this song with the intention that I want this song to be your oasis when you are lonely, tired, and thirsty. I want to sing this song myself.”
Finally, he concluded the performance with ‘MISERY’, ‘WAIT FOR ME’, and ‘You are a Miracle’.
Kim Hyun-joong composed the set list for all 7 performances differently. At the end of the performance, he said, “At the beginning, it might be too much. There were many concerns, but I think I have grown a lot as an artist thanks to ‘Prism Time’.” It’s an emotion. I wanted to convey a message of loneliness, comfort, and sadness. I believe my message was delivered well to everyone.”
