Time flies, it has been four years since Kim Hyun Joong finished his military service.

We are not going to comment on the Korean military service, this has already been done in a previous topic and besides we do not have to judge here a system surely made necessary by the circumstances of the ‘neighbourhood’.
Things seem to be moving and the fact that Koreans are talking about it without taboos is already a step forward.

To recall his army memories, Kim Hyun Joong invited Ryu Namgyu, nickname “The devil”, a senior ex-instructor of his battalion (the 30th in the demilitarized zone on the border between  two Koreas)

We learn that Kim Hyun Joong had mainly an administrative position, he was in charge of permissions’ planning.

We also learn that he shared with his battalion the many gifts sent by his fans.

A few anecdotes later we learn that he worked in the kitchens (notably one day when he had to peel hard-boiled eggs for the whole barracks)

‘Hectic’ personal life and military service at the same time, Kim Hyun Joong surely does not have only good memories of this period of his life.

However, with these two episodes he managed to find a way to make some of the memories fun and create a positive tale.

And no, this is not an episode for a male audience.

One person’s memories can also be a source of joy for others, even if they are army memories…
