This group of participants at the SUPER SPEED FESTIVAL on December 26, is THE Korean PUNK-ROCK reference.

💥CRYING NUT💥

They do not need presentation because they are known in Korea and internationally, but for neophytes (like us) here is a very small summary of their long career just to locate them.

This alternative music group was formed after another called Black Ssibal.
Five friends whose success has been there since 1995.
Sales records for their albums.
A successful cinematic experience with a film ‘Looking For Bruce Lee’

Members:
Lee Sang-myeon: Guitar & backing vocals
Lee Sang-hyeok: Drums & backing vocals
Park Yun-sik: Vocals & guitar
Han Kyeong-rok: Bass & vocals
Kim In-su: Accordion, keyboard

You read that right, one of the originalities of this K-Punk band is …. the accordion!

Despite the pandemic, the musicians of Crying Nut are on the move and have not stopped working.
Considering their participation program, it is lucky that they were able to find a little niche in their agenda to participate in the SUPER SPEED MUSIC FESTIVAL .

Here’s how they present themselves :

“We first started playing shows in the Hongdae club scene back in 1995; at that time, we were one of the first bands to introduce punk rock to Korea, ”

“We weren’t just doing Western-style punk music, rather we added our own local flavor to the music and it became what some people refer to as ‘Joseon punk.’”
