A new Kim Hyun Joong has been announced to us.
We like this one too.
Rebel, less smooth, who uses swear words so unconvincing in his pretty little mouth.

Despite everything, we have the feeling that it is a passade, a try, a way of showing the back side, that of the bad boy who can make all the efforts he wants he will never take over on the front side of himself again, that of the sensitive guy, the perfect son-in-law, who usually refrains from shocking by his words, who composes and sings us romantic ballads and who has grown up to the rhythm of “conventional” rock bands (even if Metallica has cheated his neurons at some point in his life).

When you love Coldplay, Charlie Puth and when you listen to Coffee Boy to the point of having published six months of covers on your official channel, you will never become a full-time rebel.

So, continue to dance or not, let out your anger and show a more aggressive “new side” or sing sweet ballads?

Why ask yourself so many questions?

Why not just do what you want?

As you feel it… because our first feeling is usually always the right one.

Sometimes by wanting to follow “trends” and listening too much to others, we lose sight of what we really want; we forget what is good for us.

But it is also true that an ordinary mortal or a demanding fan as we tend to be, cannot understand the life of an artist punctuated by data such as audience rates, statistics of views or number of listens.

Stressful time spent monitoring the performance of his music, analysing his audience, monitoring his streams on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Imagining an artist looking at graphics divided by categories is not at all glamorous, is it? And yet it is also part of his job.

The day after the launch of his new single, how does he and his team feel when they look at the results?

Does it live up to their expectations?

We doubt it, and these are questions that we do not fail to ask ourselves too, even if the results visible to us cannot be enough to estimate the success of a performance because listeners are now distributed everywhere on different platforms, and only the artist can know if the result is commensurate with his hopes.

Seen from here, there is always the same question that comes up with each release of a new work or at the announcement of a new tour:

Wouldn’t it be time to consider different ways to promote a work and look for a new audience elsewhere?

Just to not be limited going round in circles in “his Cage” with “his Fans”.
