Like every end of the year we see different rankings of all kinds flourish, here is ours.

A Top 3.

The opinion and the very personal classification of our favorite songs, as of today, and after the progressive release of the first 8 songs of an album which will have 12 in total next February 2023.

As our heart swings depending on the day and we had a lot of trouble deciding some,  there are ties.

🥉 THIRD PLACE (equally-ranked ): CHILDLIKE & HELLO MY DADDY

📌Child Like

✔ Because transporting oneself to the past or to the center of one’s emotions to find our memories of youth can sometimes make them clearer to us (even sometimes happier)

✔ Because we like to see Kim Hyun Joong’s pleasure when he sings this song in concert
(😈 yeah… very far from here)

Co-Arrangers, Co-Composers:
Kim Eun Chong
Park Jun Hyung

📌 Hello My Daddy

✔ Because while our emotions reveled in the sadness of the lyrics and images in this music video, that little guitar piece at the end shook us to tell us: let’s stop scaring ourselves with the future and enjoy the present moment.

Arranger and Composer: KU MYOUNG IL
Co-Arranger: Park Jun Hyung

🥈 SECOND PLACE: EXPECTO PATRONUM

📌 Expecto Patronum

✔ Because we would have almost placed it in first place, but sorry, while our imagination was running, running…our concentration unexpectedly went somewhere else at 3:18 of this strangely reminiscent piece a bit like the soundtrack of the movie La Boum (even if a Vladimir Cosma can never be a bad reference), but that somewhat spoils the pleasure of the conclusion.

✔ Because it’s music that takes us elsewhere, and because for very personal reasons we like Kim Hyun Joong’s accent when he pronounces the name Maria.
(😈 guys, it’s about the Blessed Virgin, not about you…)

Co-Arrangers/ Co-Composers:
KIM SEO HYUN
Kim Eun Chong
Park Jun Hyung

🥇 FIRST PLACE (equally-ranked): LEAD ME IN YOR WAY & TEARFUL RAIN

📌Lead Me in Your Way

Sometimes “Less is more…”

The grandiloquence of the introduction of this song, well imagined for a somewhat theatrical entrance into a concert hall, was not in our opinion absolutely necessary on a CD and can prevent it from being appreciated at its true value …..

Hold on, wait patiently for the 1:13th minute because this song alone conveys the most pictorial, poetic and romantic words of the entire album.

Composer and Arranger:
Park Jun Hyung

📌Tearful Rain

✔ Because the combination of the lyrics with the music is a breathtakingly beautiful achievement

✔ Because the feeling of premonitory fatality that the whole communicates  is not unknown to us.

✔ Because the complaints of this marvellous guitar touch our hearts as much as the cadenced voice of Kim Hyun Joong.

Composer and Arranger:
Kim Eun Chong

The rest ?

Have we said that we don’t love others?

We like them less, that’s all.

The cocktail is less successful, or they arrived at a time when we are less receptive.

Some have wonderful lyrics and a melody that we don’t like, others music that we like a lot but whose lyrics are a bit…how can we put it? Lighter? Less deep?

We have the right not to always find super hyper good what an artist does, but this album really has songs for all tastes, everyone can find their own and we are waiting for the last four with great impatience.

And you? Have you ever wondered what your favorite is?

and especially…

Have you wondered why?
