We’ve always found online love competitions ridiculous and inappropriate, the only way for some people to flaunt their “gifts” to prove how much they admire an artist, to measure the level of love they have for someone with photos on their social networks; as if it were the only useless thing we can do to tell someone we’re here.
As an exception to the rule that has always dictated to sort through the dripping stream that passes under our noses, today we’d like to pass on a Korean fan initiative set up at the last FIVE_O_ONE concerts in Seoul.
No, there are not only haters on every street corner in Korea, and gratuitous attacks and injustice have always revolted us.
We’d talked about it, were initially wary of it given the number of solicitations we see, most of which are not honest.
First we wondered whether it was an official organization set up by the Agency, and after enquiries we were confimed that it was indeed an independent, sincere and transparent organization set up with tacit agreement.
However, anyone who tries to remain discreet in their actions is the target of suspicion, and we’d like to salute the politeness and above all the patience of this group of fans who went to great lengths to set up and organize the animation at the venue for the two concerts.
They cleverly dealt with the attacks of certain small-minded “fans” whose only concern is to make themselves interesting, and whose daily aim is to invent polemics without even realizing that they are attacking others who ultimately want to support a common cause.
Which only confirms what, unfortunately, we already knew: the haters among the ranks of fan groups are the most dangerous because we’re not wary enough of them.
In short, despite the attacks they have been the target of, they promised us a review of their work at the end of the shows, and they have just published it with their usual Korean rigor.
They certainly didn’t count their time and effort, and even promise to let us know how the €12 surplus from their balance sheet will be used! Isn’t that sweet?
Their call for participation served to please EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION, and not just the inflated egos of a few.
They brought joy to many fans on site, and to those who weren’t there but saw images of the concerts online.
By the way, the day some fanclubs will be able to publish so clearly the balance sheet of the use of money they ask from their “members” please let us know, we’ll be happy to salute them too.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success.🌹
