If You’re Like Me

Today let’s talk about a song that we no longer hear :  “If You’re like me”.

This title is the first track from the soundtrack of TVN’s drama ‘Marriage Plot’

As soon as this drama’s trailer went online, it had more than 4 million visits to the  Mnet.com website. Due to the impatience of Kim Hyun Joong’s fans, the production decided to launch the broadcast of the soundtrack  one day earlier than expected.

“If you were like me” is a ballad which perfectly matches the romantic atmosphere of the drama and which is beautifully enhanced by Kim Hyun Joong’s voice.
Despite his busy schedule at that time and his frequent trips between Japan and Korea, Kim Hyun Joong wanted to actively participate to this song.

The composer, lyricist and arranger is Kim Chang-Rak, known for many hit songs such as the music for MBC’s series’ The Moon Embracing the Sun.

He had previously worked with Kim Hyun-jong, notably on : His Habit, Inspiring Generation OST 7, Marry Me / Marry You, ImaDemo, Timing, Round 3, Lucky and Unlimited.

Free Translation :

If You’re Like Me

If you feel the same

If you feel the same

Can’t even make a step, only tears fall within any minutes

If you feel the same

You should be looking at my eyes right now

Love becomes deeper like this, I wanted to stay beside you for a little while more

Wiping away your tears with my hand

Letting the pain slipping away without being noticed on the other hand

Trying to ignore this weakening self

Can you see I’m running towards you?

If you really feel the same

If you feel the same now

If you can feel my earnest longing

Even if you enter the completely different world

Even if you enter a world without me

We could feel the same

My heart just wanted to stay beside you

Slowing down my pace, to walk beside you

Trying to ignore this weakening self

To tell you that I love you, to tell you that you’re my only one

If you really feel the same

If you feel the same now

If you can feel my earnest longing

Even if you enter the completely different world

Even if you enter a world without me

We could feel the same

If you feel the same

If you feel the same

You should be thinking
