They’re not sparing any efforts at the moment, and every day, several times a day, promotional content is broadcast on all their social networks.
They’re even asking us to help them find a name for their fanclub, even if their meeting is short-lived and will only last as long as it takes each of them to return to their lives as solo artists.
All this gives us food for thought, because in this small, narrow and super-protective world of fanclubs that we’ve been rubbing shoulders with for five years now, where we’re novices so to speak, we’ve often found ourselves rowing a bit individually, and we still often find ourselves in situations where we come across people who seem more concerned with drawing attention to themselves than with trying to disseminate the work of the artist they support.
Measuring egos instead of rejoicing in the simplest things that others think they’re doing well, which are never useless even if they’re not always to our liking or in the way we’d think that should be done.
Someone once said: It doesn’t matter whether people say good or bad things about me. The most important thing is that people talk about me”.
What this means is that it doesn’t matter what people say about you, the important thing is that they talk about you, and the fact of talking as often as possible about your favourite artist, trying to make him known, trying to get others to admire him as much as you do, trying to “convert” even just one person and get them to love his work, is a small victory.
In short, our opinion on this appeal is that setting up a common fan club is a good idea.
This is the Korean fandom culture formed around K-pop idols and series.
The role of fandoms is to support artists and, let’s face it, to develop a large market for official and less official “souvenirs”.
Even if fanclubs for the same artist are already at loggerheads, and setting up a joint fanclub dedicated to three different artists who get together seems a bit risky in relation to their individual fanclubs since some people see things differently, preferring to “protect” their artist, to keep them in their inner circle and above all not wanted him to be hogged by others, we think it’s a good idea that completes the “toolkit” of any artist and ultimately a way of supporting their efforts and contributing to the success of their project.
A place where people are alike without animosity towards others, where everyone can support their favourite artist without unhealthy and pointless competition.
Giving a name to a fan club, doing two concerts at home, training every day to give a performance worthy of their reputation can’t leave anyone indifferent and deserves our interest if we want a project not to stop halfway.
We can give them our support, right?
