The captions for this episode have arrived.
(they still wish each other a happy new year 🤔)

We are in one of the best pork belly restaurants in Seoul certified by the Michelin guide, with the owners Mrs. Park Soo-Kyung and her younger brother Mr. Park Se-Young.

We’ll taste the food in next week’s episode.

The opinion of the MICHELIN Guide

Geumdwaeji Sikdang

  • 149 Dasan-ro, Jung-gu, SEOUL, South Korea
  • KRW 25,000 • Barbeque

Located along a main road in Sindang-dong, Geumdwaeji Sikdang can be easily spotted by its gold signage on white tiles and the queue outside the gate long after rush hour.

The establishment serves fine cuts of YBD pork, a cross breed between Yorkshire, Berkshire and Duroc.

The texture of the pork is firm and meaty, with a good balance of flavorful fat that makes the meat extremely juicy.

Items are cooked on a cast iron grill over charcoal briquettes which help keep the temperature constant.

The restaurant does not accept reservations.
