We’ve received questions based on misunderstanding about Kim Hyun Joong’s comment when he received his Youtube gold plaque:
I want to be a person who introduces good music and good people through YouTube. As I said in a video, you don’t have to make money on YouTube.
I’ll just introduce interesting music and a lot of people.
It should not be considered that this is a mark of contempt or ingratitude on his part for those who listen to his Youtube repertoire over and over.
One shouldn’t feel hurt by thinking that the time spent streaming lists of videos doesn’t really matter much to the artist.
We are not in the head of Kim Hyun Joong, but we translated this message rather as a mark of modesty on his part and his way of humbly moderating his satisfaction; no need to get too carried away, success is often illusory and always fragile.
Our version of this comment is that he has no intention and especially no need to make money with Youtube, unlike other “Youtubers” whose job and only activity is .
Fortunately, he has less ‘pressure’ and his only aspiration is to show us his Korea, its beautiful music and beautiful people.
So let’s keep watching and listening to his videos:
- because they are well thought out and beautiful,
. - because the little income they will bring will contribute at least to amortize a tiny part of his investment and that of his teams (even if an artist is often far from taking into account this kind of financial considerations and prefers to devote himself to the creative side of his profession…),
. - because adding views on social networks is not a goal in itself but it gives visibility to an artist and allows him to make him known to people different from those who are already part of the usual circle of his fans ,
. - because of course, and we cannot deny it, numerous visualizations are nevertheless a source of pride for an artist, a proof that his work is recognized, and above all a means of reaching people when one is prevented to tour and perform in public.

Regarding ‘loop playback’, we realized a few months ago that old Kim Hyun Joong videos that we will not name here, uploaded by “someone else” reached more views than the same videos posted on its official website.
Question of justice (and fixed idea which has become a little obsessive it must be admitted) : exceed 12 million views at least one of its own videos.
On February 22, it will be three years since “Four Seasons” was put online. This song is placed in the top three of our favorites. In fact, it’s our favorite in all of Kim Hyun Joong’s repertoire.
What do you think of listening to it without moderation to find out what number its counter will manage to reach before this date?
