Press release from the Cultural Center:
Devoted to dance, this evening highlights the creativity of the very talented Korean dancer and choreographer Sun-A Lee.

Dancing Dance for me
Choreography and dance: Sun-A Lee / duration: 35 mins
.
This show tackles the relationship between film and dance in a new way.
.
While video is usually used as a scenic element, the opposite is happening here: the dance slips into the projection of a cinematographic work* which was in no way intended to meet a dance stage.
.
Crossing the city of Seoul and a snowy landscape, a young dancer relives her romantic separation and takes an intimate look at her own love story…
.
Thus a game of mirrors is created between the screen and the stage where the dancer doubles up, troubled by her own story.
.
*Movie “Dance for me”, directed by Kyeong-yeob Choo.
Actors: Sun-A Lee and Jong-Hwan Park

Say Cover
Dance: Eun-kyoung Kim, Yun-kyung Hur, Dae-ho Lee
Artistic direction and choreography: Sun-A Lee
Music: Hyun-hwa Cho / Dramaturgy: Thomas Hahn / duration: 40 mins
Production: Korea National Contemporary Dance Company.
With the Dis Cover trio, choreographer Sun-A Lee continues her search for the path to self, which began with her solo Un Cover. The performers here confront the repressed facets of their psyche, the shadows of the unconscious.
.By a very sincere research on themselves, they reveal themselves in movements where the dance reinvents itself in an astonishing way.
.
Next, they face the clay, which materializes the energies of all that they had kept silent for too long. A striking trio of great human depth offering us a show of striking beauty…
