There are mornings you feel happy without really knowing why (two or three times a year, most of the time we have “our head in our butt…”)
Yesterday was one of those mornings. You emerge from the arms of Morpheus (who has the face of Kim Hyun Joong lately, wonder why?), And you are about to have a … HAPPY day.
But, you receive a video message and suddenly you get very, very sad.
This video is the acoustic version of “OASIS”, new upload of our Fridays “MUSIC IN KOREA” from Kim Hyun Joong’s Youtube channel.
Why sad?
Because this third clip from MUSIC IN KOREA collection, like the previous ones, is a masterpiece of beauty.
Magnificent decor, magnificent staging, magnificent achievement, magnificent enhancement of Kim Hyun Joong and Gemini, and above all, magnificent simplicity of the whole which leaves us speechless.
After the first and the second video of this series, we wondered what the HENECIA team was going to be able to find better to show us and we must admit that they always manage to amaze us.
So why does this make us sad?
Because all of that beauty and all of their effort doesn’t seem to increase Kim Hyun Joong’s Youtube channel views .
In France there is a proverb, which surely also exists in other countries:
“Giving jam to pigs”
Personal decryption: offering a wonder to people who do not deserve it because they do not realize how lucky they are to receive it.
We don’t want to “put in the same bag” all the people who watch his channel every day, but most must surely think that all these efforts are due, and therefore normal.
Do they realize that Kim Hyun Joong OFFERS us , for three weeks now, videos that other artists would have monetized on platforms like Mandolin, LiveNow, Single Music or others Roblox?
Their team must be wondering why the views aren’t taking off?
Does a clip have to be flashy in color, and need protagonists move around for 5 minutes to reach a million visualizations in an hour?
This series of videos does not need any artifice or special effects. Their beauty should be enough to make it a success, while they painfully reach 100,000 views after a week, and while a clip, without sound, and certainly showing very beautiful images of Kim Hyun Joong’s face, reached 50,000 views in one hour!
Please disabuse us, would Kim Hyun Joong be just a pretty face for some? For someone who was first attracted to his voice it is very difficult to accept.
Could someone explain to some who view Kim Hyun Joong’s channel that there is no point in putting a like and leaving without seeing, and especially without LISTENING, a video until the end?
That leaving a comment for the sake of commenting (his physique?), and going elsewhere to make another comment, does not necessarily contribute much, except to have fun yourself?
Putting together your efforts like some fans do with merit, to set up streaming campaigns, and to see that their time and energy are still not understood by some, must be demoralizing, because we realize very easily, that most of the people who commented didn’t even think about subscribing to Kim Hyun Joong’s channel!

You have my professional sympathy! Unfortunately, most of KHJ’s fan base consists of women of certain demographics who became his fans due to his outstanding visual in kdrama/MVs either as flower boy or manly-man thug. His handsome face is a blessing and a curse, Let’s be honest, we all fell for his captivating face and then some of us further explore and discover that he is also a great musician; not just a pretty face! Seems to me very difficult to promote anybody simultaneously as a serious musician and an actor. I think for the 1M views a la BTS will be difficult without SK fans but indeed it is very difficult to re-create and re-brand him in front of SK audience. Attacking from the international film sector is a good idea to resuscitate his acting career so let’s hope for the a breakthrough like “Parasite”. Or perhaps you can get Netflix to fund a ” k drama” that is intentionally not distributed in SK following up with rigorous promotions so that SK viewers would “beg” for it. Perhaps then k drama producers will succumb to popular demands. Alors, qu’est on fait? Boone chance!
We actually have to be realistic, the success starts in your own country, and Korean KHJ fans seem to be somewhere else than Youtube or Google. Normal, Youtube and Google are not necessarily very welcome in Naver countrie!
“Attacking from the international film sector passing by Netflix” okay, but given the number of very good Korean actors who have not made a “long break”, would the name of Kim Hyun Joong be selling enough for Netflix?
On the other hand, we would see him well in a supporting role to begin (generally the second roles are as successful as the
first, even better sometimes), and not necessarily in a series.
A film would surely have more impact with a wider audience.
But all of this is just guesswork and wishful thinking.
Only one question should be asked: Does Kim Hyun Joong really want to remake cinema? and to this question he has not yet given us a clear answer.
