HENECIA INC has updated the space dedicated to the new group under its label “JUILIA DREAM”

We remind you that this group took a three-year break (21-10-2017 -> 21-10-2020) and their new album will be released on October 21.

In the meantime, here is what we are told about their previous album, it allows us to locate these artists.

ABOUT ALBUM [ Lay It Down on Me – EP]

-The modern answer to Psychedelia in the ’60s-

Today, I saw an interview of a domestic band on social media.
The essence of the content was that they felt a kind of debt consciousness to the great musicians they heard, and because of that, they also wanted to create a world-class alum that could instill a debt consciousness on their juniors.
A relentless determination to create another original beyond cheap homage and obvious reference discourse. Julia Dream, who chose Pink Floyd’s 1968 single [It Would Be So Nice] as the name of the non-side track you are facing right now, is also a band that happened with that conviction.

They put two bands of contemporary geniuses, Pink Floyd and King Crimson, on a cutting board to chop, crush, and chop the sticks, making them digest with their intestines, and unfolding in front of us a spectacular view.

As if tinkeringly, they didn’t even try, their music shruggedly erases the shadows of the masters.

The practical’scissors part 1’begins with Park Joon-hyung, who is in charge of the main songwriting, guitar, vocal, and keyboard in the team.
This debut single is actually one song that looks like four songs.
This four-part concept, which is based on the feeling of being pressed by scissors, which is a daily horror to someone, is a human indulging in pleasure by putting the process of being pressed into the scissor and ending it in the repetition of the code, the human psychological anxiety, desire, loneliness, It connects or expands the breadth of thought to the self-confidence of humans. “Lay it down on me” is a song at the center of the song, with the ambience feeling of pacing like a ghost on the mid tempo that Sang-hoon Yeom (drum) and Byeong-gyu Son (bass) woven together.

Park Joon-hyung’s guitar, who took a deep breath of David Gilmore, struggles with a heated wah like Tom Morelo (here, Sang-Hoon Yeom’s intense drum solo unfolds), and at the introduction of “Echoes and Dance” like a splice song, he pours out his long blues solo without hesitation.

As you can see from the title, this song contains the meaning of bringing back the part of’Echoes’, which painted the last 23 minutes and 29 seconds of Pink Floyd’s 71 year work [Meddle] in a trance, and giving it back to’Echoes’. The push of scissors that seemed to never end reaches its peak here.

The third part of’Scissors’ begins with the repetition of the lyrics’Lay it down on me’, “Breathe of Life”.

Also, the homage to Pink Floyd’s [The Dark Side Of The Moon] is melted, and after the nightmare is over, the whole peace is recreating the warm anxiety that dominated the whole album. Park Joon-hyung is directly blowing the flute from here, and it is a work that reflects the shock and anguish experienced by the individual, so his breath is filled with an unknown sad truth.

Even though the scissor press seems to end here, if you go back to track 1, the question is repeated like a chord and like a lyrics. ‘Do You Wanna Sleep?’

Like Escher’s’hand drawing hands’,’scissors’ felt like a song toward an endless end. ‘Repeat’ is the most important concept that penetrates and governs Julia Dream’s debut single, and that is why the backstory that the lyrics of verses 1, 2, and 3 that were first written were all the same is meaningful.

For the moment’s spontaneous energy, they borrowed an Elpiva from Hongdae and recorded it as one-take.

This is the first trace of Julia Dream, who pursues vintage style in the 6’s and 70’s, struggling to tell’Pink Floyd played by Jimi Hendrix’. In the following works, you don’t know how else you’ll hear David Gilmore and Robert Prip.

Of course, there is always room in the band’s music to feel the illusion of deep mode, as in “Lay it down on me”.

A calm resource that brings the listeners in the realm of pure expectation and tension. I dare say that Julia Dream is a “discovery of 2014” that music lovers must pay attention to.
